Gentleness, Love and Patience (c 1900)

In the south aisle and dedicated to the memory of Dame Catherine [Kate] Prudence Jenkins (d.1900). It was funded by her husband John Jones Jenkins. The figure of 'Love' uses the image of Kate, whilst that of 'Patience ' is Kate's youngest daughter Elaine. It's possible that the two angels in the side panels might be John Jones Jenkins sons by his first wife. (notes from Edward Llewellyn-Jones, with thanks.)
