Engineers from Smiths of Derby spent two days in Mumbles last month working on the historic Church clock in our Norman tower. When the clock was restored at their factory it was working perfectly. However, since being reinstalled it has not been keeping very good time and has stopped on numerous occasions. We very much hope that the problems have now been resolved and that the clock will now tell the time, once again, as it has done for over 140 years.
We thank Bernard Hex for liaising with the engineers and for looking after the clock for us.
