Mumbles Ministry Area News

Last month, worshippers from the five Churches of the Ministry Area came together for special combined Lent services.

We started on Ash Wednesday with a Eucharist at St Peter's Church, Newton, when the Mumbles Acapella Choir sang Allegri's famous Miserere during the Imposition of Ashes. It was very encouraging to see a congregation of over 130.

On the first Sunday evening of Lent we celebrated 'Stations of the Cross' interspersed with hymns and Passiontide music led by All Saints' Choir. The meditations looked at the Way of the Cross through the eyes of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The next two Sunday evenings we had a Healing Eucharist at St Peter's led by Canon Chris Darvill and Compline and Meditation at Clyne Chapel led by Canon Arthur Howells.

Our coming together in this way is being very much welcomed and well supported. Our combined services continue this month - so please come along and join us.
