A Service of Thanksgiving for Tony's life was held at All Saints' on Thursday 14th November. Over three hundred people gathered to pay their respects to a well known and popular Mumbles man.
Tony was actively involved in the Mumbles Yacht Club and the local sailing community. As an electrician he will be remembered as someone who went out of his way to help others. Many a plug, light fitting or fuse box in Mumbles was installed by Tony as an act of kindness to a friend or neighbour.
He will be especially remembered at All Saints' for being a long serving member of the Men's Working Party which met on Thursday afternoons. As resident electrician he saved the Church so much by keeping a professional eye on the floodlights and electrical system.
He was, first and foremost, a devoted and loving family man and we offer Nita, Robert, Ruth and the family our deepest sympathy at this time.
A big thank you for coming to pay Tony such a lovely tribute on November 14th. Tony was Mumbles born and bred and had the sea in his blood. He only moved to Norton because he could still see the sea from our windows.
Thank you to all our friends from Norton Mission and All Saints' for all the help,
kindness and support they have shown us over the last few years; to the clergy who- visited Tony in hospital and at home the last few months; and to Hywel for the playing of the organ. We have been surrounded by love and are well and truly blessed.
